Feed Safety and Quality Policy

Tex Biosciences (P) Limited has evolved into a significant manufacturer of Animal Feed Additives. The company places utmost importance on the safety and standards of our products and ensures that the additives are fit for Animal Consumption as per the norms laid out by Regulatory Authorities, FAMI QS & ISO 22000. For this purpose, the Management of Tex Biosciences (P) Limited has decided to implement and maintain a management system, complying in general to the Regulatory Authorities, ISO 9001 standard, ISO 22000 standard and in addition, to the FAMI-QS Code of Practice (Feed).

Feed Safety and Quality Policy of Tex Biosciences (P) Limited recognises and acknowledges the company’s responsibility towards animal feed safety and eventually Human Safety.

Tex Biosciences (P) Limited Feed Safety Management system would consist of regulations, guidelines and operating procedures that cover all aspects of our operations and will result in the highest quality of feed additives being manufactured under a controlled environment. The environment would be such that it results in the best quality feed additive being manufactured while being conducive and comfortable for our staff to work in.

A feed Safety Committee is in place and will work with Purchase, Production, Quality Control, Billing and Maintenance to ensure that a comprehensive HACCP plan is implemented and followed in all our operations. Further, this committee will strive and achieve a benchmark in feed safety and control that is higher than the standards prescribed in FAMI QS & ISO 22000 Code of Practice.

Purpose of the Operation and Scope

Feed Safety and Quality Policy will cover the operations and scope of manufacturing and marketing of all Feed Additives that are sold as a part of Tex Biosciences’ Brand name and sold as a part of Contract/Toll Manufacturing projects.

Commitment to Provide Safe Specialty Feed Ingredients

The company affirms to follow and continuously improve on policies, systems and practices that ensure feed safety as prescribed by the standards laid out by Regulatory Authorities, FAMI QS &  ISO 22000. It promises to deliver on a safe feed additive that is both beneficial to the customer and the environment. It also promises to deliver on products that help animals perform naturally.

Commitment to Satisfy Applicable Regulatory Requirements

Tex Biosciences (P) Limited Feed Safety and Quality Management system would aim to deliver Feed additives that satisfy the Applicable Regulatory requirements as those prescribed from time to time. The Applicable Regulatory Requirements will be inbuilt into the HACCP procedure so that the system is able to produce Feed Additives that meet Regulatory Approval.

Commitment Towards Continuous Improvement of Feed Safety and Quality Management System

The company affirms to follow and continuously improve on policies, systems and practices that ensure feed safety as prescribed by the standards laid out by Regulatory Authorities, FAMI QS &  ISO 22000. This would be done through processes such as Internal and External Quality Audits and Review of Observation and Improvement Points raised in these Audits. It would also be done through suggestions coming in from both internal and external stakeholders to the company.

Commitment to Take Necessary Actions for Preventing Fraud and Adulteration

Tex Biosciences acknowledges that Feed Fraud Prevention and Adulteration Preventions is an important aspect in securing safety and quality of the Feed Additives being supplied to customers.

Tex Biosciences will implement a Terror Threat (Feed Defence) and Vulnerability Assessment (Feed Fraud Prevention) program that will comprehensively map out areas where Terror Threats and Feed Fraud can occur and have in place a Prevention/Treatment Plan to address these risks and mitigate the problems that arise from the same.
